Austin Nevins hails from the woods of Mill Valley, California. Since
getting his first guitar, Austin has learned to play a multitude of
string-based instruments. They include the acoustic, electric, baritone,
bass, lap steel, sitar guitar and mando guitar (occasionally the trumpet
emits from his home and the neighbors rejoice).
Venturing east to attend and graduate from Berklee College of Music,
he had the fortunate opportunity to study with and befriend some great musicians.
Now immersed in the New England music community,
Austin can be heard playing live and or on record with a host of
talented people:
Josh Ritter,
Rose Polenzani,
Anais Mitchell,
Meg Hutchinson,
Brian Webb,
Antje Duvekot,
Kristin Cifelli,
Jason Myles Goss,
Chris O'Brien,
Jennie Stearns,
Boris McCutcheon,

Jess Klein,
Rachael Davis,

etc... Austin's textural playing has also found
its way onto the soundtracks for a few independent films.
Producing music is an area which Austin is making his way into.
He is currently working on an album in his home studio that is due out
in the near future.
Austin has been teaching and is taking on guitar students in the
Boston area. So if you are interested in lessons, feel free to get in touch
with him...
